Jarmila Ptáčková PhD specialises in the study of modern Tibetan society. In her project Cultural Security of Minorities in Context of the Equalization and Integration Efforts of the State in P.R.China, she studies socioeconomoc and cultural changes among minority population in Western China as a result of implementation of planned development measures. Her research also focuses on a study of adaptation strategies and adaptation ability of China’s minority population to transformed and modernised social and economic environment. Her research languages are Chinese and Tibetan.
