Táňa Dluhošová, Ph.D., specializes in early post-war Taiwanese culture and literature. During the first period of this project, she will conduct a corpus-based investigation into language and ideology in cooperation with a group of Taiwanese colleagues. This collective research project will pay special attention to unique language patterns within different social and political groups. The results of this stage of the investigation are intended to feed into a detailed mapping of different means of control in the cultural field of early post-war Taiwan and the first half of the 1950s. The results of this large-scale project will form the basis for a monograph in English about the early post-war cultural field.
